WHY!!!???

Why does everyone you draw have candycorn horns?
nice work btw

Yup

This is completely accurate, I work for NASA, and I've seen this first hand.

Um....

This is..... a female? Can not tell whats going on.

OY!!!!

I like the face a lot.
But the line work looks kinda messy.
Get a broom and clean that shit up, cuz there's a ten under there.
That was a metaphor by the way.

ciliath responds:

haha thanks,
i'll think about it the next time :)

Aweful

I don't want to be a jerk but everything here just looks out of whack. His helmet isn't big enough i think and the anatomy and proportions are all messed up. The background also looks pretty poorly done. But the shading looks pretty consistent.
I know it was done quickly but this doesn't even look like it would be a good foundation. Hope I wasn't too harsh.

Walkingpalmtree responds:

Ah yes I am quiet aware that it does indeed suck.
Thanks for some of the highlights. I'll try to improve on those greatly if I ever do a speed paint again. I tend to be slow with stuff so doing things quickly is a recipe for distaster for me.
Thank you and harsh is not a problem.

Not bad

Background and overall mood set by the piece is pretty good. Character in the foreground could use some work though. Looks a little amateur. Keep at it though.

AnDrew19787 responds:

Thank you! I am working on it. :)

I hope this didn't take long

Cuz it is aweful.

What the hell is she wearing?

I understand that that is a halloween costume but what the hell is that? Is she dressed as a diamond or a fishnet or something? Anyways the quality overall is kinda crappy, i know that you don't like it when people just mark it down without an ecplination, so I'll try to be as specific as possible. The medium you used is kind of aweful alone, is that a ballpoint pen? Either way it doesn;t look good. And even for a cartoon you're proportions seem kind of lopsided. Plus.... no shading. I think in one of your other pieces you said you don't know how to shade, SO SIT DOWN AND LERN IT. It's not that hard. Aside from that I think that lydia's expression seems kind of weird. She doesn't look surprised, she actually looks like she's kind of enjoying it, but only because she's been drugged. Anyways I hope I wasn't too harsh, keep it up and practice often. Oh yeah and EefOofClock is a weirdo. And here's a weird suggestion for a piece, do one of Megan Fox punching a velociraptor in the face. I don't want her to be naked or anything, it was just the first thing that came to mind for some reason. And you don't have to do it, just making a suggestion.

SugarSweetVenom responds:

N-no ... that's Lydia Deetz's pancho, not a costume. You wouldn't understand the picture unless you saw the show I suppose. You can youtube the old beetlejuic cartoons if your interested. I didn't have Sai at the time so my only medium at the time was colored pencil, purple colored pencil. Yes, I'm terrible with proportions as you've seen from a couple of my pictures I'm working on form. So far I can only seem to do heads even remotely ok. I know the alignment of the whole ear and eye placement. I'm working on shading but honestly it won't stick with me, I still have to work on proportions and I can't get any of this. She isn't surprised, she is enjoying it because it's based on the implied romance I love so much about the show. She hasn't been drugged, she has dark circles around her eyes both in the " real world " and the " neither world " . It's not too harsh man, trust me I've had worse. Wait ... what?

What?!!

A 9 and a 10?
I disagree. This is just not good.
Keep practicing, and try using some anatomical reference next time.
And Shading.
Try some shading.
Feels like a 2, but imma give you a 5 cuz i'm nice.

SugarSweetVenom responds:

Thanks for your honest opinion, I appreciate it man. Anatomy isn't my best but I try to use as much reference as possible, naked/half naked just isn't my thing.

OHMYGODLOOKATTHATGUY'SREVIEW

Like, seriously zargaden wrote a freaking essay down there, I didn't even read past the second line. But anyways about the piece. Very nice, but I have a complaint about the background, but its easily contradicted so really its not a big deal, but The read creates a contrast that I don't find very appealing, at least, not with how it fades to white while going downward. I think it would have been better had it faded to black, but then you wouldn't be able to see his legs very well, so theres the contradiction. Other than that, very nice work, only the second ten I've ever given out, because I judge art in comparison to my own favorite artists(ex: Craig Mullins, Ashley wood, Michael Komarck, Ben Templesmith, Drew Struzan, yadda yadda etc, etc,). Looks very proffesional. But then again, you could be, there's no law against the pros posting in the same portal as all the amateurs.

CHAOSWONTON responds:

Thanks, man. I like Ashley wood, too. Especially his works in Spwan.

I am an illustrator and independent game developer living and working out of Milwaukee. If you like my work please leave a review, and even better if you'd like me to work for you PM me for commissions, jobs, and anything else you might need! Thanks!
